I mean I’m not blasting anyone which I don’t think you meant that directed to me. Saying you don’t want to spend time with guys that don’t want to be Tigers is exactly why you shouldn’t follow recruiting especially in the NIL era . Doesn’t matter about state pride or any of that anymore.

I listen to Preston Guy interview with McKinley today. It was hard to gage on he might pick but also seemed like a little unsure on commitment date on Sept. 1st. Sounds like he is still thinking it over. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets pushed back from listening to Preston interview.

He mentioned he talks to LSU Coaches and asks about Coach Lindsey.

It doesn’t sound like he’s interested in any schools by that interview lol.

Yeah! He might not like all the recruiting attention. Now I see why people say he is hard to figure out.

. I guess now we will hear how it's still a battle to ESD without a D-line coach. Man it's going to be a nuclear mess around here for awhile when he commits.

Yeap it's coming! If we hire a new dline coach at end of year just knock it up a notch. Lol

It’s deserved at the moment. 5 star dlinemen should not leave the state.

This is a failure

Well good thing football is about to start soon and we can forget about recruiting a little bit until November hits.

Fully agree but apparently he wants new experiences

I'm sure it will, but anyone who pays attention to recruiting knows McKinley and Mack never seemed to have LSU at the top of their list. It was not like they were enticed to go elsewhere.

Maybe in the end it works out, but bottom line is we can't lose what we never had.

I guess we’ll be hitting the portal again for multiple DL

I get that, but it’s the staff’s job to convince him to stay. They’ve failed at it. Our interior dline recruiting has been atrocious and it has to be fixed. Portal adds are cool but you lose games in the interior trenches

I don't think anyone can really say which way he's leaning based off that interview, or any of his interviews honestly.

Hopefully when he sees Maason and Wingo go high in the draft, and experiencing a game under the lights in Death Valley, that will be enough to put us over the top.

Even the Texas insiders concede that LSU made up a lot of ground during the Bayou Splash, and the staff can keep that momentum going up and until his decision date.

You realize the draft will be in April, after he has to sign.

Sigh.. Yup. It's an absolute failure on the staff if we end up 2nd to Texas for a DT from Acadiana. Our most sought after position. But, if the kid wants to get out of state and there's no D-line coach at LSU, I don't know what other scenario makes sense with him coming here
