The other day on the morning news they did a piece on the women's soccer team about how the US team has the most mothers on the team than ever before. Three of the players are mothers.
Years ago there was a woman who got knocked up and then they next year they didn't renew her contract and she ended up lobbying to make it more mother friendly and now when the team travels they provide nannies or something for the kids of the players. It was interesting because it almost felt like it was a counter piece to the attention Megan Rapinoe brings to herself and her support of dudes who ID as females playing with the women.
Which also reminds me. Was she ever one of the better players on the team? I watched them the other night and she rarely played.
Anyway, this post reminded me of that.
