-Tigers land #9 LB Tylen Singleton and #5 in the state.

-Last year the Tigers lost out of 6 of the top 10 in Louisiana.

-19th commitment overall. 13th from the state of Louisiana.

-Main teams in the running for Dominic McKinley. Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M are the out of state teams you hear the most about.

-Dominic will visit the Bayou Splash this weekend. LSU has ground to make up but they will do so this weekend.

-Timeline is expected to end before his senior year so Acadiana can look towards a championship. Speigs say it could stretch into the season.

-Main contenders for Wardell Mack are Texas, Florida and LSU.

-Speigs still feels good about LSU but watch out for Florida. Whole staff with Corey Raymond and Jabbar Juluke along with Napier are making moves.

-Texas missing on Corey Gibson makes Mack more of a priority even though they lead for Kobe Black.

-Members of his circle are fascinated with Texas. But with Frank Wilson getting involved he wouldn't be surprised if those other visits were cancelled.

-Lastly Colin Simmons visiting next weekend. Tigers are a main player for his services. Speigs says that A&M had become the main competition in the spring.

-Frank Wilson has gotten involved with the Duncanville kids and sees it as Texas vs LSU.

1. Thank you for posting these articles I would not have access to otherwise.

2. How the hell did we miss out on 6 of the top 10 in the state last year but still put together a top 5 class? If I heard that we have 8 of the top 10 locked up this year, I'd assume we'd be top 3 in the rankings overall.

Either way, hopefully we make a big splash this Friday.

They're getting better about putting information into podcasts and YouTube clips. Any "real" information is usually inside of them and not a paywall.

My quickest answer is that I believe the portal is included in that total. But HS wise they did good in Texas and Georgia.

Louisiana (10)
Texas (5)
Georgia (4)
California (1)
Florida (1)
Maryland (1)
Minnesota (1)
Missouri (1)
Nevada (1)
Ohio (1)

Exactly what I said a few days ago. LSU hasn’t even turned up the heat on these kids yet. Recruiting them hard, of course but they didn’t expend the entire clip of ammo and they still have the elite sniper, that is coach CBK to close the deal with all these elite players. I wouldn’t be surprised if we either flipped more from Duncanville and definitely wouldn’t be surprised to see many of the future stars from that school either commit or start seriously looking at LSU. If we could open up a couple more pipelines like that in Georgia, Florida, Baltimore and the Carolinas, LSU will be what we all know and expect them to be. Regular contenders.

Serious question: I know a lot of these top recruits are going to 8&4 for the bag, but without trying to be a hater, can someone explain to me if there's other factors there?

What are these kids seeing (beyond money) that is making them lean towards 8&4? No history, no recent success, not a fun city, not known for player development, and no stability at the coaching level - Sure, jimbo's contract is huge but if it keeps going south he won't be there once these kids are juniors. Which also means the staff under him could be gone even sooner.

I think it has a lot to do with their background. When you grow up in Texas you are usually born into an Aggie or Longhorn family. I grew up with family that was a house divided. My uncle was an attorney from Monroe so I went to more LSU games than I did A&M but still went to both. There's a culture at A&M that just honestly represents how part of Texas is would be my best way to explain it.

I grew up in Houston and to be completely honest with you, it was only that fandom for UT. I was an athlete and everyone wanted to play in Austin. That's where the fun was and that's where the best athletes looked to go.

The only people that grew up wanting to go to college station were legacies. Very rare to have someone adopt the aggie-culture if it wasn't already in their family.

At least that's how I remember it in the early 2000s

You are going to have some 5* prospects who are just looking for the biggest bag, they'd go to Idaho State if they offered the most money. (See A&M class of 2022 for example). Then you are going to have 5* prospects that yes, want a "competitive" NIL offer but will factor in other things in the decision.

2 of them were never in play. No one named Manning will play for LSU while Archie is breathing, and Holstein had transferred once to not be Jamie’s cowardly son.

Couple that with the product on the field for the previous two seasons, roots not being watered if you will, and boom.

I used to play lacrosse in college back in 2002-2004 and we played there a few times. College station is... well... a fun place to party hard. Our team would go out and literally drink the bar out of Shiner Bock while enjoying the "scenery" and a few tussles over said "scenery" lol.

Word that I heard yesterday from McKinley’s Dad is he has made a decision but did not let his Dad in on what school he is choosing wants entire family to be surprised by his choice. Bayou Splash attendance is a good sign for Tigers because why geaux if he is no longer interested. We shall see how this weekend goes
