Do those increases amount to at least $38 million?

My cousin in the garden district is up 43% over last two years.
Unreal for what that *doesn't* get you. No police, usable roads, or schools.
Can't see how this keeps up without Teedy running more people off.

Is there not a homestead exemption on these? I think in Texas the max they can raise mine is 10% per year

The school board and S&WB will definitely roll them forward to the maximum amount they can get.

1. Why should people who don't own property vote on property tax?
2. Why should I pay for public schools with property taxes if I don't have children?

10% in one year is still too damn high.
Oklahoma is capped at 3% raise year over year with a Homestead Exemption.

Because unless your landlord is an idiot he is passing on the taxes to you.

Because you benefit from public education everytime you order a latte or get your trash picked up.

My understanding is there isn't a cap. I could be wrong, but they definitely have a homestead.
She can't get milage increased passed, so they back door the tax increase in this way.

Texas needs this. With property taxes more than 2% of property value, that 10% increase each year gets expensive

Home owners insurance up, flood insurance up, property taxes up. It’s bad here. Damn depressing

imagine all the first class trips overseas you can take with that increase

This fool overestimated something like 35% except his own property which he valued 50k under the neighbors.

Well, the same thing happened 4 years ago (worse actually) and you were around for that. So what does that say about you then?
Property values went up in 4 years through covid. Not sure why this is a shock to everyone.

More meant the inevitable slide of higher and higher cost of everything while New Orleans provides less and less. Some people refuse to see it and stay put. New Orleans is not recovering within any of our lifetimes.

The slide started long before last year.
So you missed it.
So you missed it.
