I am not sure off the top of my head, but lines that are usually suspect/illogical, always go with the suspect/illogical side. Its is usually set that way for a reason.

Some interesting early college football lines I was looking at on DK last night...

Texas @ Bama week 2: Bama -7
LSU @ Bama week 9 : Bama -7

I will be fading the Longhorns and slamming the Tigers

This is certainly revisionist history. When OSU played Florida they were coming off of beating #2 Michigan in the "Game of the Century", the B1G still thought the sun revolved around them and the SEC hadn't started it's string of domination that came over the next 15 years.

Let's not forget too that as good as Florida was, they were clearly behind USC for a crack at OSU. They only got to the title game because USC dropped an all-time egg against UCLA in the regular season finale. And then of course UF had to hope the BCS didn't pick Michigan for a rematch.

So yeah, some folks probably had them no higher than #4 before the UCLA mess and you could decently argue that they backed into that game against OSU.

Tressel was also considered the consensus #2 coach in the game by then too (behind Carroll) based on his '02 and '05 squads. People knew Meyer was good but they didn't know he was THAT good.

That line made sense.

Whoever took that Vegas bet was an idiot. You don't lay that many points on a Conference foe...

This was the one that popped in my head for the same reason. But then I remembered UGA was -38 against Vandy last year and won 55-0 so I decided not to comment on it. But yeah generally that kind of spread shouldn't be given to conference foes even if they seem that bad. It may very well hit but it just doesn't feel like a smart bet to take.

No, the big 10 was bad!!!!! Offensive league with crap qbs/archaic offenses. That’s how bad the defenses were. Some of the worst teams ever for a major conference. Michigan got their asses handed to them as well in the bowl game. A lot of talking heads were from the big 10 so they voted/talked them up but they were a garbage league. In addition, Florida’s game plan on O was a death trap for the buckeyes defensive scheme.

USC was the most bet on CFB team in Vegas for about 10 years according to Vegas Insider and traditionally is one of the most routinely bet on even if they're average because household name to average casual bettor on holiday in Vegas.

the biggest bet i’ve ever made was on LSU against aggy in 19. I don’t remember what the line was, but it wasn’t big enough. Burrow wanted to absolutely destroy them, and they had already quit

Ohio State beat Oregon 42-20 and Zeke ran for 217. I thought that even Ray Charles could see that coming.
