Has anybody done an east coast trip in a week (Pennsylvania to Maine)

Trying to visit all 50 states in America, and this trip would knock out a bunch of states
From Philadelphia to Augusta Maine is a 7 hour drive, thinking about taking a week, flying into Philly, and driving all up the northeast coast visiting those states in a week and staying at random spots along the way.
Has anybody done anything similar to this? Wondering where the best/must do stops would be along this way.

Never done it, and New England is the only region of the country I've never really visited.
I would love to do something like this in the fall.

I’ve made the drive all the way through Pennsylvania to Boston. Let me tell you, that stretch through Pennsylvania is a whole lot of nothing and it takes forever to get through.

While it is true that you will knock off a bunch of states, driving the I-95 corridor is definitely not a vacation. Avoid it if you can.

Agreed. I would consider taking train from Philly to Boston (w stops along the way) then renting a car in Boston to hit RI, NH, VT and Maine.

That would be a lot doing it from Pennsylvania, plus you would miss out on cool things to do being rushed
Use Boston as starting point to hit Maine, VT, NH, and RI
Another decent trip could be Pennsylvania, New Jersey into New York and Conn.

Agreed. Week is not a lot of time to make that trip.

Just finished a 10 day trip from Boston to Maine via RI and CT. Cannot see much in a week, unless your goal is to just drive through a state. Too many sights to see and experience to simply scoot by at 65.
My bucket list is to play one round of golf in every state. I lack only Montana, and that is planned for August. When I play a round in a state, I take 2 or 4 days in each to sightsee.

Getting out of Boston on 95 is a pain in itself as some tunnel is closed as of now. I cant imagine that all the way from Philly would be any thing but hell . Once you get north of Boston then 95 eases up greatly and it’s a smooth ride . Made the drive from Portland to Bangor/ Acadia NP today and it was a great drive .
Freeport is great place to shop on the way.. Spent an hour there and got some great deals at the LL Bean outlet store and family hit up a few other stores as well.

Fly to Philly and stay a night in Phoenixville, PA.
