What would happen if tonight’s Dow explosion happened during a home LSU football game?

Tonight, the news said if you were between LSU and Gardere, to stay inside and turn off the ac. If tonight’s explosion or a bigger one happened with a hazardous leak and the wind was blowing it towards LSU during a home game, what would happen?

They probably wouldn’t say that. Then it would be a national story

Take what you can get from this.

quote:

Ethylene oxide doesn't need supplemental oxygen to burn because it hauls its oxidizer around with it on a weak bond in its molecule. It has a 2 carbon 1 oxygen ring that due to its acute bond angles is highly reactive because of the strain on the oxygen bonds. The oxygen atom desperately wants to break away and in this case, provide the oxidizer for a conflagration.

But, yes, in the common parlance of the day it can burn without oxygen.

OCD off, or at least muted.

I always wondered why terrorists haven't hit a college football game. High visibility, low security. A plane filled with high explosive could take out thousands.

Nor should they see the movie Black Sunday (or read the book). I saw it as a kid and never looked at a packed football stadium the same way since.
