Unlike many who leave early, I am staying in my seat

Tonight, the news said if you were between LSU and Gardere, to stay inside and turn off the ac.
I read this here but haven’t actually seen it on the news reports. Maybe someone can link this? Everything I saw said that the shelter in place applied to people within 1/2 mile from the plant, which wouldn’t have even extended into EBR Parish.
Tiger Stadium is like 7 miles from the plant. I think the reality is that unless it was a catastrophic toxic release and the wind was blowing directly toward LSU, the game would likely go on as normal.

I was at this game in Auburn in 96. It was kind of scary because you couldn't tell how close to the stadium (or if it was IN the stadium) at first. It was right behind us. But the game went on. No evacuation. The only thing that really sucked was there was no water. Also no ice for our alcohol.

Postpone or cancel and send everyone home. Same as a bad weather storm.

Not really apropos of the exact situation we’re discussing here, but ur comment reminded me of the time i was walking up to our suite before a game at TS a couple years ago, and saw snipers, fully loaded for bear, walking up to get into their spots for the game… prior to that, i didnt realize there were multiple snipers stationed in Tiger Stadium for every game .
Used to work at a phone repair store and fixed a guys phone who was a sniper at TS

It was certainly interesting to see flames across the way, and very sad when I realized what was on fire. That old WWII aircraft hanger held a lot of memories for many Auburn fans.

A VooDoo priestess would dispel it and a hologram of Coach O would appear at the 50 yard line for a split second

Nor should they see the movie Black Sunday (or read the book). I saw it as a kid and never looked at a packed football stadium the same way since.
Thomas Harris is the only author whose books I've completely read.

I always wondered why terrorists haven't hit a college football game. High visibility, low security. A plane filled with high explosive could take out thousands
Be easier with a drone now.

If it involved chlorine gas it would make bhopal look like a fairy tale
Well, if they killed every single person in the stadium. There wre 15,00 to 20,000 deaths and half a million with respiratory problems from Bhopal. Nothing happening in Tiger Stadium will make that look like a fairy tale. Maybe if the 2019 playoff game against Oklahoma was played there…
