That's the only logical explanation to the boyfriend angle. There is no reason to concoct this elaborate story just for a couple days in a motel.
It only makes sense if they were running away together.
I'm on the GoFundMe scheme, although the attention level and video blew that up quick (along with perhaps relatively normal parents)

That's all I've seen but very curious about that baby now.
We've not got much for motive; there might not be a logical one. Trying to race-bait the cops ("they don't care about a missing black girl" setup), she wanted alone time with some dickus, an aborted gofundme scam, and mental issues.
- the mental issues ploy is off the table with the preparation and video of her at the car (which she didn't plan on).
- race baiting and aborted scam are still on the table but will have to have her admit to it (prove the negative) as there is very likely not going to be evidence unless they find some communications.
- wanted some alone time with the 17 yr. old's dick at a friends house in that neighborhood and/or Red Roof Inn is the most likely motive.
Or...
- covering up for something we don't know about yet such as something unfortunate with that assumed and unidentified baby she was holding.
- covering up for something else personal but less nefarious such as flunking out of school or failing her boards (which should be easy enough to check in a matter of minutes).

In Alabama the age of consent is 16. She’s not an educator so I’m guessing statutory rape wouldn’t apply.
