I have no idea but based on those rankings and the fact that about 99% selected in the first 10 rounds sign, I’m gonna guess “no”.

98 from the left side with 20+ inches of run at 18 years old? Doubt we ever see him in P&G.

If you can get out of the 2nd rd without him being picked, then we can start talking. Someone can pay him $1.8-$2.0 in the 2nd still

If he’s drafted, he’s gone. Those numbers are agreed on before they get picked.

Most likely not going to make it to campus. At one point it was looking like he might make it to campus but that has been trending in the opposite direction lately.

Or you go the way of Dylan Crewes and bet on yourself. Offered 6 million out of high school, went to college and will now get 9 million plus his nil deal. It all depends on his belief in himself.

Hope that the Pirates draft him after round 10 and Skenes demands that extra $1.5m they were going to throw Johnson’s way! Just kidding. Sort of.

FWIW, he just changed his twitter cover photo to himself wearing an LSU hat. Also Jake Brown, #1 LA recruit and LSU commit tweeted out tiger emojis which seems to give off the impression he is also attending LSU next season. LSU baseball is coming away with a lot of positive news following this years MLB draft.

Sources say he comin'

The No. 11 overall player and No. 2 left-handed pitcher in the class of 2023, Johnson becomes the highest-ranked prospect to ever reach campus for LSU. Dylan Crews was ranked No. 13 when he arrived in Baton Rouge.

Johnson’s father confirmed the news that he will enroll at LSU:

“He’s a Tiger at heart and extremely excited to play for Jay! Let’s Geaux!”

Cameron Johnson Info

Johnson is a 6-foot-5, 243-pound left-handed pitcher with an overpowering fastball and slider combination. He also occasionally throws a changeup from his deceptive delivery.

His four-seam fastball is his best pitch. It is an above-average offering in the mid-90s that touches 97 mph. His fastball features natural movement with arm-side run and sink, generating plenty of swings and misses.

Johnson’s changeup is also a quality pitch that is a weapon against left-handed and right-handed hitters. He has confidence throwing it in any count. The sweeping-breaking pitch displays a lot of movement and serves as an out pitch.

“My body physique and quality fastball,” said Johnson on his strengths. “My fastball has the run with 20-inch horizontal movement. That is very big for me. I also have the wipeout slider. I got a lot of hitters with the slider in the summer. The pitch is an overpowering pitch that I feel hitters can’t get an eye on.”

We just landed Mac Bingham from Arizona.

The PAC-12 All-Conference outfielder shined in 2023, batting .360 with 10 home runs on the season. Bingham also had an on-base plus slugging percentage of 1.006 on the year for the Wildcats with 51 RBI and 91 hits.
