quote:

The Eagles have had a miraculous 52-year odyssey, performing for people all over the globe; keeping the music alive in the face of tragic losses, upheavals and setbacks of many kinds. Credit and thanks go to our longtime management team, our dedicated road crew, and our exceptional backup musicians for providing skilled and steadfast support, throughout these many years. We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful. Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed. But, everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle. The official farewell tour is currently in the planning stages. We want to give all our fans a chance to see us on this final round. So, scheduling information will be released as dates are set. The difficulties of booking venues for multiple nights may require us to return to certain cities, depending on demand. But, we hope to see as many of you as we can, before we finish up. Most importantly, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this band and its music. At the end of the day, you are the reason we have been able to carry on for over five decades. This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on.”

With love and gratitude,
The Eagles

I’m sad that their run is coming to an end, but what an incredible run it was!

I'd rather see the opener -Steely Dan, but I'm still going to try to go. "They stab it with their steely knives, but they just can't kill the beast".

I wish they'd bury the hatchet with Felder and Meisner and bring them back to properly end it.

I’ll say this, I saw The Eagles last November and they still sound great. Henley basically sounds like he always has.

I know. I saw them 5 years ago in Chicago.

They were excellent.

and Bernie leadon although he’s played again with them in recent years.

this is 3 eagles and a bunch of backing musicians which is fine. No different from dead and company but at least they had the good taste to retire the original name

I recently saw him being interviewed by Billy Joel and he is a real sperm stain.

Not the Eagles without Glenn Frey.

Did they cover the teenage hooker in Henley's house?

Saw them in NOLA during the HFO tour. A great concert that preceded the vehicle window smashing days.

Surprisingly no.

Frey had a problem with underage girls also.

i was lucky enough to see last version of the complete band during Hell Freezes Over at the Cajundome ! front row center with my friend when we at age like 14. Glenn Fry looked down and even acknowledged us for having such young fans in the audience at that point in their career...that was an awesome night.

More interested in the 'Dan but wouldn't mind seeing the other guys I guess. Can't imagine I'll be willing to pay what I assume will be rapacious prices on this though.
