I no longer carry the 365 with one in the chamber.

Lots of reasons but the main one is that I can't stand the thought of what is basically a cocked single action pistol with one under the hammer sweeping people with the muzzle.

To me, the risks of having one in the pipe drastically outweigh the odds of me needing to deploy the gun in defense of life with no time to chamber a round.

Basic risk assessment for me says that round in the chamber is a bad idea with that handgun. Trigger pull is too light and too short for 100% no doubt no way anybody accidently pulls it.

Look at the Bul Armory SAS 3.25 2011. I have the 4.25 and its one of the best handguns I own. I carry a 365 X macro for 80% of my CCW. Carry the Bul in the winter time.

Ditto. The probability of some sort of accidental discharge from carrying one in the chamber all the time far exceeds that of a specific encounter scenario where you don't have the extra quarter second it takes to rack a slide.

I'm willing to risk it for the peace of mind of no worrying about an accidental discharge around family. Know a guy who accidentally dropped his loaded glock and shot himself.

I dry fired a 365x macro a few months ago and wasn't too impressed with the trigger. It felt very mushy and the break wasn't very clean. Kinda surprised me.

They make one with manual thumb safety. It works well. I like it as an additional risk control measure to avoid shooting one’s nuts off. It ain’t for everyone though. One not even in the chamber seems silly… might as well not even carry a gun.

Just stumbling into this thread.

Downshift you seem quite triggered by this topic.

You mention not wanting to carry with the muzzle posted towards loved ones with a round in the chamber. You do realize that there are a lot of options to CC without having the muzzle pointed toward other people, right?

Also, you do realize that many folks probably haven’t had extensive quick draw training or high pressure draw and fire training. Continuing upon that a lot of folks would be highly susceptible to an accidental discharge or gun malfunction in the event they needed to draw the weapon, chamber a round, and then try to get on target in a life threatening situation.

ETA: The entire point of conceal carrying is to have a weapon readily available for immediate use in deadly situation. Hence the reason most would want to carry with a round in the chamber.
