You can't convince me Son didn't miss that on purpose.

Ortega was already leaning right and Son could have either dribbled around him or passed it into the net with a curve on it if he shot right and not left.

Son and Romero were laughing with Pep and Haaland after that match.

POVERTY CLUB! Ange said it best. "The last 48 hours have revealed how fragile the foundation is inside and outside the club"

The idea that you would rather your team lose than have a chance to make CL Football is absurd to me. Absurd to Ange also because he doesn't have a loser mentality and wants to go for it all the time.

Yep he missed on purpose. We actually planned it.

Yep foundation is fragile.

We lost the game. So close.

I always will take the responsibility of it's our job to not drop points. Sure, games will get away but there are games that we should have enforced our dominance, we didn't and we dropped points. No different than last year. Relying on others in the end very rarely works out. I hope it does this Sunday though.

You are in here bragging up losing while we are here sitting on 86 points with a game left to go mate.

You've only ever gotten over 80 one time in the history of your club.

You are bragging about losing and happy about losing a game which would have given you club a chance to make the champions league (let's face it we all know Crystal Palace is in blistering form and would have beaten or drawn Villa) and thereby making your club an assload of money to invest in a shitty squad and to push on.

Root for your squad to win or lose whatever. The fact that you were rooting for them to lose shows you about the cultural differences between your club and ours. It makes sense tho considering that your club has never been really close to winning any titles since the invention of colored TV.

Get your laughs in now because I promise you Arsenal will win the league in the next few years. We know it, you know it, and the entire footballing world knows it. How I will laugh when that day comes.

The Tottenham Supporters Trust releasing a statement insinuating that Ange doesn't understand a rivalry is hilarious. The man managed Celtic in the ugliest and most vitriolic derby on Earth. I would be pretty humiliated if Liverpool's front room staff spent the week talking about how we should throw the match against a club so that United didn't win a title. It's fine for fans, but coaches?

Just weird small club mentality.

Astonishing these 2-3 pieces of shite posting here with this “we’d rather lose than help out Arsenal” mentality.

Yep. I really have no room to complain in a season where we set a record for wins. It’s been a great season.

But yes, that poor effort at home vs Aston Villa cost us the title. We get the three there like we should, we’d be hoisting the cup.

Yep. Last year was lessons learned. This year, should we actually not pull it off, will help feed the hunger. No complaints here. I still vividly remember just how bad we were not long ago.

Alyosha was clearly fricking with y'all and it still got everyone's panties in a bunch.

Plus y'all act like a win against city guaranteed top 4. Villa only needed a draw even if Spurs beat a team that lost 3 matches all YEAR. Even with Palace's form do y'all really think a team with nothing to play for would have gotten 3 pts against a team desperate for 1 or more? Everton is in good form too, are they going to beat you this weekend? No.

If the roles were reversed I guaran-fricking-tee you would not be 100% committed to wanting to beat a team to have the CHANCE to get top 4 if it meant Tottenham would win the league. Keep telling yourselves otherwise.

You talk about the "arsenal mentality" like it means something these days.
Where was that mentality 2 years ago when you lost 2 of the last 3 to miss CL?
Where was it last year when you imploded to throw away the league title?
Where was it this year when you went to the Etihad knowing 3 pts would put you top and arteta sat back for 90 minutes playing for the draw?
At least Tottenham went at MC in a game that the best possible outcome was a chance at top 4.

Ange is in the middle of a complete overhaul similar to what arsenal was doing a few years ago and Europa is not a bad place to start with the depth that they have. I'm happy Ange is pissed. A staff member even joking about the game is pathetic, but a staff member vs a fan is completely different.
The players clearly got behind the manager and played one of the better games they have all year. Ball just didn't bounce their way.

And you very well may be right that arsenal will win the league in the next few years. But I watched an amazing liverpool team only win 1 title over city so I wouldn't be so confident you get across the line against pep and his oil team.

I too go into my main rival's season long thread and brag about losing

Outside of the Big 6, Palace is the most difficult away fixture there along with at Newcastle. For having "nothing" to play for, Palace sure has beaten the ever living frick out of teams in the run in. So no it is not out of the realm of possibility that they would have taken points off of Villa. You also have no faith in your squad if you don't think you would have made up a substantial goal difference at Sheffield United, possibly the worst team in Premier League history. But I give you that this isn't a guarantee.

at all of this. You sound like an edgy teenager. In our banter era, we won 4 major trophies to your 1 EFL Cup. I'm sorry that it kills you inside that the most successful run in your shitty club's history resulted in zero titles.

We have squandered opportunities in the past no doubt. Alot of it was our own doing. Since we that opportunity in the NLD in 2022, Arsenal has 173 points to Spurs 132 . frick outta here.

Title imploded last with Saliba's injury but we still weren't good enough down the stretch. Still not a bad season for a team that yall beat 2 years ago to go to the Champions League. What has that CL run done for yall? Your best player ever said frick this squad and took his ball and went to Bayern.

Blaming Arsenal for not getting 3 points at the Etihad is your most delusional take. Tell me pal, how many teams have gotten points there all season? Brentford is the only team that has won a game there since the start of last season.

"At least Tottenham went at MC." Buddy we beat Manchester City in our home fixture. You didn't.

I agree with some of this but our overhaul involved way more deadwood and wages and pieces of shite in the squad than your current overhaul. We finished in 8th back to back seasons with players like David Luiz, Sokratis, Mustafi, Ozil, Kolasinac, I maybe even add Aubameyang , etc etc etc eating up wages and destroying the team from within. The fact that we are even in this position is complete insanity. We have spent a ton of money but guess what, about 90% of it has been spent correctly since Arteta and Edu rebuilt this entire squad.

No doubt. It means we need at least 95 points IMO and that may not be enough. Which takes me back to the point at the Etihad draw. We are up against the best team England has ever seen with the best manager England has ever seen. The fact that we could still win the league, we won't btw, is a testament to where we are competing against those oil bastards. All those failures you listed have helped our team grow in experience and mentality. They see how close we are. I think we win it next year but that's just my opinion. They have to be perfect and this season will show them that.

Assuming Arsenal beats Everton by at least 3 goals tomorrow, we would finished on 89 points and at least 64 Goal Difference. That wins you the title in 20 of the 32 Premier League seasons played since 1992. This isn't moral title, this shows the standard required so yes we will need to be near perfect to do it but no other team has shown that in England for two years than we have. We are close and we might not do it but I promise you this club won't roll over like they did for ages.
