Three years ago I hit a wall and decided to lose the weight (that I'd convinced myself I could not) and it wasn't even that hard. I do go see a doctor for weigh ins and accountability, but it was all accomplished with intermittent fasting and walking. I lost 40 pounds and finally recognize myself again. My GERD is gone. There is a magic number that if I get above it, it comes back.

That does give me some hope. Yes that's exactly how I feel. Like my throat is constantly blocked 24/7. Doesn't help there's always water in the back of my throat.
