I miss this baseball team already

Whether it was doing BPB throughout the season or making my first trip to Omaha to watch us win it all, there was always a special feeling with this team, and a lot of great memories along the way.
I still find myself asking "When's the next game?", as if to will it into existence. I'm sad that we'll never get to watch this outstanding group of guys play another game together, but ecstatic that we can always say they're national champions, and all of the great moments will be remembered forever.
This may be a farewell thread for the 2023 team, but it's nothing of the sort for the program. Jay will have us competing for another championship before you know it. See you in February for the title defense.

Was a wild year they showed greatness, vulnerability, resolve and toughness the ultimate roller coaster but in the end they put it all together and showed the heart of a champion. Was an awesome season and glad I got to witness the moments

Maybe I’ll feel better as we get closer but I worry about the insane expectations next year’s team will have even though we all know who we are losing

it's funny...knuck and I were talking yesterday evening saying the same thing...
lost not being in front of the game at 6 every evening...

There with you brother. The recruiting news, portal activity, summer ball stats, schedule release, fall scrimmages, “spring” practices, walk-out song release, etc will have to keep us afloat until February.

The future is very bright for our historic program, but you’re right, I’m already missing this team too.

Yep, we lose a lot of faces that we’ve grown fond of seeing the last few years. I’m just glad they get to go out having experienced everything that college baseball has to offer.

Thank you for the work you do!
I too am having CWS Withdrawals lol
What a fun season and couldn’t have had a better ending. The future is bright with “Lil Jay” as he’s been affectionately called by some.
Nothing sweeter than the silence of all those who ridiculed throughout the season and questioned his every move.
The man proved that his way is the best way and he can win the whole damn thing. No doubt it won’t be the last time he has in that position

Strikeout record game 1.
Scoring record game 2.
Hits record game 3.
It was a heck of a World Series.

I didn’t know you went to Omaha. That makes this one even sweeter. Thanks for everything Cheer

I’m just happy we got to watch this team play for as long as they did. Literally the last game of the season with everything on the line. What a ride

After the last game I was both exhausted and going through withdrawal since no baseball. Going to miss a lot of these guys for sure. Wow what a ride.

It was a crazy turnaround. One night I watched Tanks walk it off against Wake, the next day, I was driving to Atlanta to fly out to Omaha. Very much a spur of the moment trip, but worth every penny to witness #7.

When Beloso and Crews said they are going to miss playing with each other that just hit different.

For me it's tough because we watched so many of these guys compete for so long and fail and keep trying. Crews, Beloso, Morgan, Dugas, Travinski, Milazzo, Floyd, etc. A few of these guys thought about transferring or quitting baseball altogether. Crews never had to come here in the first place. They went through a coaching change and some early postseason exits but they stuck with it. Even this year they went through a rough patch but didn't give up. It was fun watching these young men grow up before our eyes.
We may never get that again with the transfer portal. We may have a couple guys come in and start for 3-4 years but we will never have this many. Most starters I'm guessing will be veterans from the portal

I knew we were losing a lot after this year, that's why I was so happy to see them win it. We don't win this one without the transfer portal either, it's a weapon at our disposal, and Jay knows how to use it.
