I really don't want this to turn into a "Ron vs. Don" bullshite thread. Just posting to show the utter contempt aimed at the average Republican voter by someone who was allegedly a "party leader" a very short time ago.

Breitbart

quote:

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) said Wednesday on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that it would be a “disaster” if the Republican Party nominated former President Donald Trump in 2024 and “dangerous” if he wins, which would be possible.

quote:

Ryan added, “I’m a never again Trumper so obviously the 33 % base doesn’t like a person like me. I’m very clear, I don’t think he’s fit and I don’t think he could win. Liz is right, he could and that is dangerous.

It would only be a disaster if we nominate him and he loses. Ryan is a melodramatic POS.

Trump had a R controlled House and Senate for two years, he couldn't get Obama care repealed or a southern border wall built....Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell were the two clowns leading those two chambers....if I were Desantis I would try to avoid any endorsement from either of these two Uniparty Skunks.

Will you still be saying that when he gets 2/3rds of the votes in the nominating process?

Just curious, since you're starting to sound more and more like Paul Ryan.

Dumb SOB is the reason we didn't get anything done when we had all three branches. I knew he was a RINO POS and he couldn't even debate Potato Joe when he ran. frick this guy and everything he stands for and I'm not an always Trumper. I will vote Trump 100% if he's the nominee.

Kingmaker Ryan can’t let dictator fascist Drumpf win. Daddy Murdoch would be devastated.

I hope these assclowns don't actually think making public pronouncements about DeSantis will HELP him, as it would be one of the quickest way to torpedo him in many people's minds (we already hear that talk from the crazy Trumper crew).

If this doesn’t convince everyone that Trump is the right man for the job, then nothing will.

I think next week it is AG Barr's turn to sky scream about Trump.

How dare anyone change who they think is best for us?

And Paul Ryan can GFH; there is a much larger majority than he thinks that know anyone Paul Ryan endorses are losers like he and Romney were.

Ryan needs to just go away. BTW both Trump and DeSantis hate him. DeSantis was one of the very few who didn't vote for him for Speaker because he didn't trust him back when everyone thought he was a true conservative.

It would be nice if both Trump and DeSantis folks could agree that dude sucks and isn't going to be a part of either campaign so let's just hate on him together.

Can't have that. There will be NO agreements between the hardcore Trump/DeSantis peeps.

GOPe

The voters never cross his mind. He has no allegiance. And in fact they loath the voters.

They don’t even care about winning. They only care about preserving themselves as gatekeepers for the money flowing through the party.

The #1 goal of the GOPe is to have Trump lose.

There’s a few Desantis guys in here that have asked why Paul Ryan is viewed negatively.
