Can anyone recommend a travel agent or site to build a Western European vacation for a family of 6? I’d like to give business to a local agent if possible. Thanks guys.

Go Ask chatgpt. It did all of this for me in 2 minutes and that included me signing up for the site.

Travel Agents can be good. My wife on occasion uses one and I can get her information for you, she is local to New Orleans, really nice older lady, and very good. She uses them when we or she are going on group trips and she doesn't want to handle payments for multiple people.
99% of the time we don't use one, its so easy these days to do it yourself if its all your own family. You really don't need one.
How long are you going for where you are doing multiple countries? If its less than 10 days I would just stick to one, or a couple of days in London and then the rest in Paris/Countryside.

Looking at 10 days.
I just spoke with an agent in BR off of Jefferson so hopefully that goes well. We used one last time we went to France and that worked out well. This time we’re bring the four kids so I guess I just wanted some advice on best combination of countries with kids in tow.
Thanks Fun, I appreciate the advice.

We used Viahero when we went to Cuba and they did a great job working with us on an itinerary (which was required for Cuba).

We've used Tours By Locals several times.

This is the way. Travel Agents are no longer required if you can prompt engineer an itinerary.

Guided tours are not my favorite way to see Europe but I have been on a couple of them and enjoyed them very much. The first time I went to Europe in1996 we took a Globus tour.
If you want to explore several countries with a family of six in a limited time, you may want to look in to one of these.

Ok cool, I’ll check that out. The girls will be 20, 18, 14 and 8 at the time we go so I’m excited for them to experience these countries.
I appreciate you guys.

Note that Viahero provides an itinerary for you to do. They aren't guided tours though if you want one I'm sure they can make recommendations and book them for you. We did this for a couple of things to do in Cuba (Hemingway's house for one).

For only 10 days I wouldn't do more than England and France (or if you choose other countries, a singular one).
A couple of days in London, maybe a day in a place like Bath, then a few days in maybe Reims or Normandy, a few days in Paris.
Easiest thing would be a few days in London, use the train for day side trips, then a few days in Paris, use the train for day side trips.

One trip with Kids that might be great is italy.
10 days is pretty perfect for the Rome-Florence-Venice boogie.
Fly into Rome, see cool stuff that may fascinate them like the Coliseum or Vatican, go to Florence and see other cool stuff like the Duomo or David, and then cap it off in Venice with all the water taxis that will fascinate them too.

That 10 day Italy itinerary is a good idea. I have done some version of that several times.
On a side note, I am advising a friend of mine who wants to take that trip. The only problem is that he has round trip plans tickets to and from Rome which means he will have to waste a day traveling. I don’t know what to tell him about that.

Tell him to see if the airline can change his ticket to Venice and if its within 200 bucks to do it

I told him that. He got a deal on the airfare and this would cost a lot extra but I guess he should just chalk it up and do it anyway.

England-Belgium-France can be done easily/quickly by train if you really want a 3rd country. (Assuming that you’re wanting to stay in larger cities.)

Belgium might be cool, but I would do Bruges with kids instead of say Brussels

We did this trip several years ago, except we did in reverse - started in Venice and finished in Rome. It was a great trip.
