I think a better comparison might be Buddy Hield.

Just need a facilitator on the bench. Unless the team think BI, Zion or CJ are those guys.

Griff is going to run it back and get fired next season.
Biggest positive of the night. Griff has given himself no outs. All blame leads back to him this season

Dyson needs to develop into that guy.

I'm biased as a UConn alum but he's a perfect fit for this team.
Great work ethic...freshman year I barely noticed him. This year dramatic improvement. Quick release and great footwork. Underrated athlete. Willie needs to make sure he incorporates plays for him bc he's better than just a spot up guy.

Buddy Hield who can actually play defense.

I've heard it all now.

Can he play defense? I thought that was a knock on him.

CJ, Hawkins, BI, Trey and Zion with a high level offensive coach . Who’s out scoring us?
Posted on 6/22/23 at 9:35 pm to supe12sta12z
Agreed. I’m excited for DD. That almost triple double game shows his potential. But I do hope we can find a cheap vet too

This kid's off ball movement is insane. Dude looks like reggie miller or rip Hamilton... constant movement...the shot is special. This is exactly what we needed. Just pretend his last name is Bogdanovic or Hield

Hawkins is 186lbs and cant play a lick of defense

People undersell this but his stamina is crazy. He runs around like a jackrabbit the entire game. He doesn't sit there and wait for a pass. His ability to find open creases and get up a shot is unblockable. It's crazy how he can already do this at the collegiate level.

Shooting Guard
Jordan Hawkins shot 38.8% from three this past season for Connecticut. He has the quickest release in the entire draft and it may not be particularly close. The combination of his lightning quick release and ability to run off a variety of different screens without losing any energy is elite. Hawkins does a great job of setting up and reading his defender when sprinting off screens. He excels at squaring his body up to the rim which allows him to be such a consistent shooter off the movement. He’s the best movement shooter in this draft. The sniper shot 45.6% in spot-up jumpers which ranks him in the 97th percentile.

Why not trade this pick for bogdonovic or hield instead of hoping this kid is those guys? If you wanna be a bitch and draft for need then just trade that pick to fill the need.

It’s not that simple my guy. There’s this thing called the salary cap.

Because he's cheap.

No one on this board knows what they’re fricking talking about. Let’s just watch the kid play and evaluate him from there. Saying he sucks right now doesn’t do anyone any good
