For arguments sake lets go with teams who haven't been Consensus AP/Coaches/BCS National Champions in the modern era, since 1936. Here is a list of teams who HAVE won at least one in this time period. I'm talking about AFTER this year. Obviously TT is the only team this year.
Notre Dame
USC
Oklahoma
Alabama
Ohio State
Miami
Nebraska
Texas
Minnesota
LSU
Florida
Florida State
Tennessee
Michigan
Penn State
Pittsburgh
Michigan State
Army
Washington
Colorado
Georgia Tech
BYU
Clemson
Georgia
Syracuse
Auburn
UCLA
Maryland
Texas A&M
TCU
Also we haven't had a first time winner since 1990 with Colorado and GT

I'll go out on a limb and say Texas Tech has the best chance.

Haha it's pretty hard to find even a remotely good team who isn't on that list.
Illinois/Oregon/Oregon State/Cal are my top 4.
Hope I didn't miss any of them on the list there
I say the Pac 10 schools cause they get so much talent out of Cali that they can compete pretty well.
Illinois if they can't monopolize Chicago they'd be in great shape

Cal and Oregon seem like the most probable, even if not likely
edit: nevermind. Cal won in 1937 so they're off

Oregon or Va Tech.
Would say WVU, but not since RichRod left town.

Yeah, but they have the Big Least advantage of a relatively easy road.
Compared to some schools, at least.

Everyone hopped of the South Florida train?
I think even being the 4th school there, with being in the Big East they may be able to sneak in

West Virginia
South Florida
Wisconsin
Illinois
Missouri
Arizona State

I just don't see any others having a shot in hell, ever.

I don't think Butch will stay around long enough, and an ACC champ will probably have to be undefeated to get in

Only 30 schools have won it all since 1936. That's awesome
EDIT: I vote Okie State and the Oregon schools
