Arguably the greatest female voice in rock history (along w/Tina Turner). Heart was a great band w/great songs and two hotties(though Ann has packed on the LB's) leading it.

Happy birthday to the Queen of Rock.

I wanna remember her when she was thin and sexy AF not now that she's older and fat.

Age has not been kind to Ann. Now Nancy OTOH....

ETA: Nancy was always the sexier sister. FAF in her prime. When she did the leg kick....

Chunky or not, their cover of Stairway to Heaven when they honored Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center was pretty fantastic. I don’t know many that would have the range to pull that off like Wilson did.

I meant to put that in my OP. That was awesome! Ann had Robert Plant in tears.

I find it funny that the king and queen of rock's birthdays are a day apart.

I like when it seems she shifted gears and you could hear a different power in her voice.

And she was 63 when she did this. Which makes it even more amazing.

Top Five (tm) female voices in music history, in no particular order:

Ann Wilson
Karen Carpenter
Olivia Newton John
Ronstadt
Whitney
Streisand

Yeah i know that’s six, sue me .

… Ann Wilson is the only one with a legit claim to ever be one of the best voices in rock history, regardless of gender .

I saw them in 1976 at a JUCO outdoor stadium. Tickets were $1. Great show.

What’s crazy to me about Heart is that while their 70s output was mostly very good, in their 80s incarnation they managed, within a two year period, to record possibly their best song (definitely Ann’s best vocal)- ‘Alone’.. as well as what might be the worst song in rock history, the wretched ‘All i Wanna Do is Make Love to You’… apparently even Ann Wilson herself agrees with me, since she refuses to perform it in concert .

They also recorded 'These Dreams' w/Nancy on lead vocals and that was such a great song. The imagery and lyrics were top notch.

And Nancy in the video.... too bad I was a tyke back then (4) and way too young to appreciate let alone understand how hot Nancy was in that video.
