Loved building one of the service academies into a national powerhouse, running the flexbone package with a team of 5* recruits.

I still have the last version they made, liked it better than madden because of the create-a-school features and the massive scheduling variety you could have.

when ncaa 2004 came out I drove to my local walmart in a tornado watch to pick it up. Got home ripped the cellophane off the case and opened it up all to find a fricking random arse CD in there. I don't think I've ever been more pissed about a video game in my life. Some a-hole on the assembly line got themselves a free copy.

Another vote for '06 here. Soundtrack was awesome.
Say you stand by your man
Tell me something I don't understand
You said you love me and that's a fact
Then you left me, said you felt trapped
This song is burned into my brain because of that game.

N64 NFL Blitz.
Having cheap shots built in to the game play was brilliant.

All the EA Sports NCAA Games were good. I played NCAA Basketball, Baseball and Football... Since they've stopped those games, i've never played PlayStation again. Probably was a good thing for me lol.

The New version will be a shell of it's former self. EA is a gambling company now. So NCAA 24 will be an Ultimate Team pay-to-win mobile game that will cost $60 and have microtransactions and loot boxes shoved in your face from boot up. I have zero faith that this will be anything like what we used to play. They've turned Madden into Call of Duty. Video games are broken now.

Madden never changes. NCAA was always better imo.
oh, i completely agree... 100%... but my fear is that they will just use the same janky code from Madden, rather than starting with new code for NCAA... so what that means is you'll see all the same bugs and glitches from Madden, just carried over from Madden...
if they use the same game engine, which knowing EA's lazy as frick asses, they will, this game will be a clusterfrick of nothing but glitches, and it'll all be about the microtransactions, that seem to be all Madden is about nowadays with Madden Ultimate Team... EA is not what they used to be, that much is for sure

It had a huge role in my adulthood

I'll be 51 when I buy it. And I don't care what the wife says. I can't wait to share the joy with my kid whole kicking his butt.
And yep I still play video games from time to time. It's a hobby to me just like fishing, hunting, reading and raising cattle.
2013 was my favorite.

Had all the NCAA from 2004-2014
My xbox 360 ate my 2014 game disk a couple years ago and was pretty heartbroken
you can't buy the games anymore and they copies that are left around $100+ easily for somebodies 10 year old game disk
Luckily you can download the game and use mods to have the new rosters and all that stuff, they even have it modded to where you have College play offs.
Can't wait for the new release, but to play it I think i'll have to get a PS5 or the newer xbox. Only got a ps4 and xbox 1 right now

It's in the game.
Had to have logged a couple thousand hours playing college football dynasty mode

There simply wasn't a more comprehensive and entertaining football game on the market. I even stopped buying Madden because it was an inferior product.

Me. My dad and I bought it every year from release (98?) until they stopped making it. We would pick teams from conferences that had a bowl tie ins and try to meet in the post season. We’d rotate playing games. Probably would get in 3 games or so each on Saturday and Sunday. Good times

I grew up playing this in the late 90’s/2000’s, would spend days after class when I got it with the Athlon Sports/Phil Steele season preview magazine open and entering rosters on every team (pre custom roster downloads). Then we would have tournaments in the college dorms, all the football players had a blast seeing themselves.
Love this game!
