But if you're only gonna play one year THAT's how you do it.
What an amazing competitor and season. And ain't over yet.

When Paul Skenes was at Air Force he did Air Force things

Tonight was his last appearance at the Box, but I have a feeling it won't be his last in an LSU uniform. A season for the ages.

And he was a 2 way player so he was at hitting practice for 1/2 of the 10 minutes AF let him do baseball things

In one respect, I agree. However, in that same year ('97) Lance Berkman hit 41 HRs. IMO, there's no one really close to Skenes.

One of the killer B's on the earlier 2000 ish stros teams

What happened with Skenes will be a huge selling point to potential stud transfers who would like to go somewhere to both have a chance to get to Omaha and spotlight how damn good they are. I love that dude first for being a great frickin American, and second for being the most dominant LSU pitcher I’ve ever seen.

The Ben Simmons of baseball

Stupid take Derek. Don’t you have a binder to work on? Your boss has a wife to support now.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Paul has a ways to go to match what Ben Simmoms accomplished

he was named a consensus first-team All-American and the USBWA National Freshman of the Year. Simmons was selected with the first overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. After sitting out a year due to an injured right foot, he was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2018 and was selected three times to the NBA All-Star Game.

And how many Championship teams has he been on?

Lol yeah. Being the best pitcher in the country and closing in on the national single season strike record helps

And didn’t show up in the most important moments of his LSU career, was too lazy to develop any type of game outside of his god given athletic ability (jump shot), was disliked by most of his teammates and didn’t give a shite about LSU.
I’ll take Skeens….you can stick with your boy Ben. I like my guys chances.

As of today, the same number as Paul. I hope that changes but there are no guarantees in sports right now besides the OU softball team

It has worked out very well for him, hasn't it?

The only athlete ever who wasn't adored and worshipped by their teammates. How could he not have been Mr Congeniality since it is now a requirement by LSU fans

They are both my "boys". Don't confuse me with an idiot hater like yourself

I don’t follow basketball but I seem to recall Simmons getting blasted by media for being lazy and afraid by nba analysts, and his attitude being a problem for his teammates.
