Don’t confuse % chsnce of rain with the projected amount or duration of rain. 100% chance of rain often times can mean a sprinkle and a 10% chance can mean a 3 inch deluge.
Fun fact the percent of rain is the percentage of the coverage area that will receive rain. Has nothing to do with the amount of rain that will happen.

I like the idea of holding him to game two

I say pitch Skenes Game 2.
Either way - win or lose Game1 - I want Skenes on the mound either punching our ticket to Omaha or Skenes on the mound in an elimination game. Even if the weather is beautiful all games, I think there is a good argument/strategy to pitch him Game2.
The potential for weather Saturday in Game 1 adds a layer to the decision and makes the decision even easier IMO.

Everything I am seeing is saying backdoor cold front approaching south Louisiana tomorrow going to increase chances for strong storms and widespread rain Saturday afternoon—not just typical summer afternoon pop-up showers
Where are you seeing this? all Hi-Res model are showing widely scattered showers after 3 and the GFS is showing no rain until after 7

if there is any chance of stopping the game because of rain, Skeens will not pitch Saturday. book it!

When you look at the rotation all year I agree.

It’s not even going to rain until Monday.

It Never Rains in …oh wait.
I seriously don’t think it rains at the stadium tomorrow.
