I mean why would the ncaa have games in the south played in mid-afternoon knowing the weather this time of year. Stupid.

Skenes will go game 1, rain, sleet, or snow. Mingione will be the one trying to play games.

Skenes, Floyd, Omaha.

6 of the 8 super regionals are in the south. What would you have them do?

Play at night when there’s a lesser chance of bad weather

Let me rephrase. They are trying to space the games out as much as possible to get the least amount of overlap so viewers can watch as many games as possible......AND have 6 of the games on Saturday in the south. They aren't going to load up all 6 games at night. A couple at 11, a few at 2, and a few in the evening (especially the west coast games). Do I wish we were playing at night? Sure. But hey, it is what it is.

Right! LSU fans wouldn't bitch then. Early start, no time for tailgating. LSU fans wouldn't bitch about that at all.

I get what you’re saying but If they’re over lapping so what? With streaming people can go back and forth if they would like to. And it’s not like most people are glued to their TV watching college baseball. Vast majority of the country doesn’t care for it. You have a few schools in the sec that do and maybe 1 or 2 out west that’s about it.

Your post reminded me of the old Aggie joke about an Aggie astronaut once saying he wanted to be the first person to walk on the sun.

When he was told he and his spacecraft would burn up long before they reached the sun, he replied, "What if I did it at night?"

I get what you are saying too. But I think the numbers are way up as far as college baseball. I read somewhere that there were some record numbers in viewership last weekend. And now this weekend all games are on network channels. It would be crazy for ESPN to overlap so many games. Look at Friday, very little overlapping.

If they thought that, they wouldn’t be playing on a Monday!

If there’s a strong chance of rain he will definitely plan around that. Contrary to what some on here think, Jay isn’t stupid

What does that mean? You can't avoid weekday games for regionals or supers. There are 4 games Friday. There may be 4 games on Monday, but there could be 0 games on Monday. There are Friday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and if necessary Thursday and Monday games in the CWS. It's unavoidable. Hell, college football and basketball have their national championship games on Mondays every year.

It’s summer. There will be a 50% chance of rain. It’s impossible even on the day of to determine when and where those storms pop up.
