I wish all of the seasons would have been in the pit or at least on the corners. The further they got away from that the more the show declined. Still a great series though.

I didn't have HBO at the time. I'm glad I didn't, because I binged the whole thing on Prime over a few weeks.

Great timing as I’m presently on like the 3rd rewatch.
The 2nd season…the first watch I didn’t care for it. Second watch I was ambivalent. Now I am actually really liking it. Loaded with great moments.

I actually watched that first season back then when i was 13. S2 was so different i remember thinking wtf is this and quit watching then i got back into it later after renting it at blockbuster. I actually really like s2 now.

I have tried watching this series at least 10 different times over the past years and I just can’t watch past the first few episodes of season 1
I know it’s suppose to be amazing but I just don’t see it. The same with the Sopranos
It’s frustrating because I truly do want to like this because everybody tells me how amazing this show was

The wire is both exceptional and exceptionally overrated
