I will add that most AI resorts have a facebook page (if you have facebook) that are not "official" pages run by the resort. On these pages you can often find tips about restaurants, excursions, room-classes, etc... from guests and the tipping question is usually asked and addressed on these pages. Most AIs have a loyal following of guests that have been multiple times. These unofficial facebook pages are great resources for research.

If we have a bartender or server that works hard and hooks us up by brining our drinks to the pool, we will tip a few bucks. but we are not huge all day drinkers. also a few bucks for sit down meal service.
