What are the odds that this happens and where would they go? I’ve read the A’s and Ray’s want new parks. I’ve also read the A’s are looking at Vegas. Again, what are the chances of new teams being added — as opposed to relocation — and where would they likely go?

The two most obvious moves I can see are the A’s from Oakland to Vegas (almost a guarantee) and the Rays to Nashville or Charlotte.

San Antonio is more likely than Austin (or in between the two) but don’t think it’s all that likely for at least a decade or so.

A's to Oakland is all but done.
Going to be Portland or Salt Lake City for one expansion team. Charlotte or Nashville for the other.
The Rays relocating to Orlando or the Nashville/Charlotte runner up is a possibility, but not a very good one.
This will happen by the 2027 season.

Way more money in Austin
Though I do think they’d put the stadium on the south end of the city so the drive from SA wouldn’t be any worse than Dallas to Arlington.
