Coleman
Skenes
Floyd

Start Coleman, hope he can go 4 innings. Have Cooper and or Ack ready to eat up 4 innings. Guidry closes it out if needed.

Skenes goes back into robot mode and destroys some 2 seed with their 2nd starter, rinse repeat.

That leaves Floyd, and as long as cooper, ack, guidry only went 40 pitches or less, they can be available.

Perfect world right.

That’s great news because you don’t have to. You get to play expert on your keyboard.

I hate to see when something meaningful happens in your life. You probably fold.

No one is. I mean yea, some idiots on this board, but thankfully they don’t matter. LSU will cruise into the final. Book it.

An unusual ace would be if Stephen Strasburg or Ben Sheets would be ether ace.

I mean he could potentially be just that. Could very well be like a Ben Sheets. He’s only a freshman. I know LSU has faced guys like him and way better thousands of times, but I’m just interested to see how good he really is against a lineup like LSU’s. Would love to see him in a P&G uniform one day.

I don't feel like going back, but this isn't the first time I've pointed out your love affair of Money this season.

Because i dont have one, you made it up

Money is what he is. He will not walk a bunch of people, which on this staff has made him needed. But outside of that he is not very good at all. I want money eating innings with a 5+ run lead,

Agreed

Agreed, with the caveat of it being a shitty swac team where we could afford it

Jacob Mayers is a really good freshman pitcher for Nicholls

If Nicholls wants any chance to beat LSU, they better throw Tyler Theriot

Pretty much means we will have to burn floyd or hurd against nicholls. Sucks

I'm pretty sure we'll throw one of them no matter who the 4 seed is.

They beat us when we benched our entire team and still barely beat us and did so with 3 top ten plays.

We also ten run ruler them earlier in the season

We run ruled their arse, who cares about the loss. We pitch Floyd and roll them.

We should not throw Floyd against the 4 seed. Hurd should go. Then Skenes then Floyd.

Maybe I’ll be wrong, Jay does what he wants.

Not sure what the big deal is.

A freshman with a 1.37 WHIP?

I like LSU’s odds to at worst knock this guy out by the 5th and get into the Nicholls pen

I only say Floyd since we would play them first and need a guaranteed win.

I’d be willing to bet they don’t throw the freshman. My money is on Tyler Theriot starting

I know, but it’s Nicholls and it won’t be approached as a mid-week game. Our line up is too tough for anyone they throw on the mound.

We threw Josè Wholestaff at them at they couldn’t handle it. We’ll be fine with whoever toes the rubber.

12-2 LSU

Christian Little 1.2 1 1 1 1 3
Will Hellmers 1.0 1 0 0 1 2
Gavin Guidry (W, 1-0) 1.1 0 0 0 0 3
Thatcher Hurd 1.0 2 1 1 2 1
Bryce Collins 1.1 0 0 0 0 2
Micah Bucknam 0.2 0 0 0 0 2

Fair enough, we will see who CJJ decides on. At the end of the day we need to stop committing errors and have our lineup hit the ball with RISP. We do that and idgaf who’s pitching.

Didn’t realize he was only a freshman. Saw he was named a semifinalist for pitcher of the year too. he’ll find out if he has ice in his veins when he pitches in front of a huge crowd for the first time in a postseason setting. He issues a lot of walks for all the praise he gets so could be a tough outing for him if he gets rattled. Probably already earned himself some NIL opportunities at a P5 school though

He only averages 5.0 IP a game already so id expect that to be the case as long as we don’t make him look like Nolan Ryan
