Not the fastest or biggest guy out there but he still gets open and consistently catches the football at a high rate.

This describes quite a few receivers with busts in Canton. I'm not saying Hopkins is a hall of famer, just that speed and size aren't the determining factor for success. This is not a disagreement on what you said by the way, just an add-on.
