It was a BS letter of the law call. I do not like the rule that if a part of your foot is past the chalk its interference. As long as your foot is touching then it shouldn't be interference.

It should never be interference if you're on the dirt. IMO.

it is the step BEFORE the 'touching' that has to be outside fair territory. The last 'step' in actually touching the bag is by definition in 'fair territory' -

the rule only applies to events "before" the touch.
