If ever you needed evidence that the GOP is not markedly more serious than the Dems, here you go.

This is nothing but pandering to the outrage-addicted. These people have no intention of doing their actual jobs.

I'm sick and tired of being taken for a fool by all these people.

www.senate.gov

quote:

U.S. Senate Commerce Committee Ranking Member Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, and Data Security, today opened an investigation into and called on the beer industry’s self-regulatory body—the Beer Institute—to investigate whether Anheuser-Busch’s partnership with influencer Dylan Mulvaney violates the Beer Institute’s guidelines prohibiting marketing to underage individuals. The letter outlines evidence showing that Dylan Mulvaney’s audience skews younger than the legal drinking age and that Mulvaney’s social media content appeals to young viewers. The letter also calls on Anheuser-Busch to sever its relationship with Dylan Mulvaney.

I'm all about using the power of congressional investigation to target leftist sacred cows

But this is moronic, especially when the public is waging and winning this fight

Involving government in this will only help AB. Let them flail here. GOP really needs to focus on policy and leave all the bait alone. Dumb

Never underestimate the GOP's ability to waste an opportunity.

Could have seen this overreach coming a mile away. When Pelosi allowed the lid to get ripped off for Peach Mint 1.0, congress fell down the same black hole as the deep state. Now everything will be bullsh*t tit for tat

They just can’t help tripping over their own dicks, just like Mrs. Lindsey running with that Federal abortion ban right before midterms…

I'm all about tit for tat

But this is useless

Conduct an investigation into the AMA for supporting sexual abuse of children

While I agree this is dumb, remember these folks are in the minority in the senate. Not a whole lot they do will matter

It's something for Ted Cruz to yell about on Hannity tonight

Exactly what I thought of when I saw this.

If I were going to run for Congress, the central plank of my platform would be doing the damn job, getting medieval about the fixing the deficit, and publicly calling out ANYBODY (regardless of party) that engages in this crap.

Good grief. They’re free to partner up with whomever they choose. We are free to tell them to frick themselves based on those partnerships. What a waste of time and resources away from issues that really matter.

100% correct, but the outrage-addicted will eat it up with a spoon and ask for seconds.

In principle this is stupid

But I'm not going to be that opposed to seeing the knife twisting even further

Them doing this DOES matter, precisely BECAUSE it won't go anywhere.

Serious stuff gets ignored or not done because this takes up oxygen and political capital.
