I live in St. John’s county Florida. They are asking residents and businesses to integrate our cameras into their system. We already have smart cameras deployed around the county reading all the plates from cars and giving the sheriffs office info.
My first take is this is a big hell no. I do not need more government.
Other side is I am not a bad guy so it is keeping us safer just need to keep my toking more discrete. Thoughts on this?

Police investigations are increasingly just them sitting behind a desk and looking at camera footage. The easier it is for them to access camera footage, the easier their job.

Lol no. I'll provide them my footage if I want. I don't need Deputy Bubba looking at my cams.

Why would you give them access to your space for no reason?

Maybe if they pay, like an annual $7,500-$10,000 a year or something

Yeah, I’m not giving the government extra data to possibly one day incriminate me.

As a former cop. DO NOT DO THIS. The things that will no longer be private will be unholy.

Not to mention they should pay for a portion of it if they want access

By integrating they would have a live feed or just a list of who has cameras so they know who to contact if needed?

You wanna have to put a blue square on your house because the cops see you peeing in your own yard on your own camera?
