Immigration system is broken

As someone who has dealt with H2A immigrant workers I find the entire system asinine.

1. Have to pay their housing and minimum 13.86 an hour. All kinds of rules you have to follow. It’s expensive as frick.

Now I’m ok with the above in order to encourage hiring Americans first.

2. We allow unfettered illegal immigration on the border. I cannot drive there and hire them or else the company gets in a whole lot of trouble. So our tax dollars are caring for them as they become a burden on society sucking the govt tit and there is no production coming from the illegals.

So what is the fricking point of having strict H2A regulations?

My stance is this:1. either stop all illegal immigration and keep strict H2A regulations to protect American workers (my preference)

2. Stop all illegals immigrants but make gettibg H2A workers easy and cheap snd make getting a visa easy so more immigrants choose the legal route. This give’s opportunity to those who want to come here and work and helps economic growth but may hurt American workers.

3. Let it be a free for all meaning we don’t stop illegals but companies can hire them. No govt benefits at all to them. This is bad for American workers but good for a free market economy and no benefits means no freeloaders come.

What we currently have is fricking stupid and awful and is bad for everyone and a drain on resources
