It is amazing that just 27 years ago that was done and no one went out and bought beer, set up a camera, got their gun and blasted the beer and posted them doing so publicly to virtue signal their disgust...

The difference is it was a joke with a punchline back then.
Now it's a joke with no punchline

I can't define it but I know it when I see it....

It's amazing that perverts stayed in the dark areas of adult entertainment and didn't try to inflict their mental illness on children

This is a perfect place to ask about a commercial that ran in the 90s or early 2000s. It may have been Pep Boys. It featured two brothers that are mechanics if memory serves. One starts to reminisce about their childhood. They are playing with ones of those toys that require you to put the different shaped blocks in the appropriate holes, circle in the circle, triangle in the triangle and so forth. Well the one kid is trying to hammer the square into the triangle hole and the brother is telling him to "just keep hitting it". Ive searched everywhere I could to find this video to no avail. Anybody else remember it? Where I might find it? I think in the beginning of the commercial they're trying to get a car battery to fit where it wont.
ETA- Found it!
Just Keep Hitting It

The difference is that change is the only thing one can rely on in time...some folks cope with change, some find it impossible to cope with change. Coping with change is the only choice one has if one is to continue moving in any direction...
