When I do the Cherry Blossom cave marking, I try to stick to a single region and ID the ones I already visited with the scope pins.

For your play time, go to your profile page (top left of the home screen). In your Activity, it should give you a ballpark figure of hours played.

I really wish they'd let you set outfit presets/favorites so you don't have to reinvent the wheel every time you make a dive from up high.

There's definitely a few tweaks and QOL improvements that they should have done with this game. Tying sage powers to the D-pad would be great. And favoriting outfits/sets too.

That said, I haven't been this addicted to a game since Skyrim. 120 hours in and I'm not getting close to sick of it.

I just got the last of the Divine Beast helms and the one in Gerudo made me turn off everyone but lardass from Gorondia just to find it.

Being able to get the dragon tears out of order seems flawed. I guess they were all in on the open world game concept and letting the gamer make their own path, but how hard would it of been to make the videos play in order as you find them so the story isn’t spoiled?

Meh, it’s no different than BotW when you would encounter those memory locations in random order

The memories themselves correspond to the specific diagrams of the Zonai lines on the ground.

Did y'all slow down to keep from beating the game, or am I the only one who still hasn't finished the main story on purpose?

I slowed down to keep from beating it while I tried to tackle every side quest and adventure. Then I got bored and stopped playing and moved on to FF16

I have slowed it. My son keeps wanting to start the final boss stuff but I have been putting him off. Maybe this weekend.

I still need to do the Left & Right Arm Depots. I think I've collected most of the armor and inexplicably have about 25-30 shrines left, apparently.

I think I'm getting close to finishing FF16 so I'm hoping I can get back to TOTK and finish that up this weekend.

This is what I'm doing. I think I'm ready to go to the final fight. I've done most of the side quests that I have available and I think I only need like 12 shrines. I have nearly 400 koroks. I also have 2 more labyrinths left and several more lightroots to unlock. Definitely going to do that before doing the last main quest.

I decided to locate all shrines and lightroots prior to heading to the final battle. The lightroots really help locating shrines and vice versa. I feel like it's rare that I come upon either without knowing it was already there at this point in the game.

Once I got all of the shrines and light roots, and upgraded the armor I use most, I went ahead and skipped looking for more stuff and just went ahead and finished the game. I'm going to hold off on jumping back in until they release the DLC... assuming there will be some DLC in the next two years.

This is kinda where I'm at. Once I finish FF16 and pick this back up, I'll probably just go ahead and finish the final boss. I'm not enjoying the exploration nearly as much as I did in BOTW and the side quests aren't really captivating me. The fuse building is also something that I'm now over.

I'll be curious to see what the DLC adds (assuming there will be DLC)

I think there are 2 reasons why this is the case.

1. Most of the new exploring is in the depths, which after a while is super monotonous. If it was all lit up, it might not be as bad, but basically you are always just trying to get to the next lightroot so that you don't have to keep throwing brightblooms everywhere. The idea of everything in the depths was good, but after a while it has gotten old.
2. Because the exploration in the depths is so vast, I have found that my exploration on the ground is nonexistent. I basically figure out where I need to go, find the nearest sky tower, then try to get as close as possible gliding.

I rarely use my horses. I was bad about that on BOTW, too.

I'd much sooner glide to wherever I'm going. Being able to land in a full, terminal velocity dive with the Glide Suit doesn't suck, that's for sure.

I'm currently using Hero's Path to figure out which Yiga outposts I missed down in the Depths, as well as trying to find undiscovered Shrines.

Been underground for a while. Trying to clear the map.

Just ran into Gibdos for the first time at the Gerudo cemetary (I have not explored Gerudo on the surface yet but I assume they're up there too). Creepy as shite. But having played Zelda games for... frick, 30 years now? I figured I could just set 'em on fire like in ALTTP. Lo and behold, they fell like a sack of potatoes. I knew there had to be a good reason I was hoarding all that fire fruit
