So the Silver Lizalfos Horn + any spear = Grim Reaper Scythe
I made this last night, although I seem to recall using that horn with a sword instead of spear. The problem with using the spear is that the moveset doesn't change so you still only poke with it rather than swipe. If my memory is accurate, then using it with a sword allows you to swipe which looks better to me.
regardless it's definitely one of the more badass looking weapons you can create.

Looks like the Legendary weapons that are nods to previous games can all be re-bought from the Bargainer statues once they break. This answers my question from weeks ago about what do you do with all your Poes once you have the Depths gear.

Can someone please tell me how both the Snow Boots and the Frostbite Armor fail to provide protection from the cold?
Ditto for the Zant's Helmet. Makes you Unfreezable, but doesn't provide cold weather protection. WTAF?

I'm still playing this game as blind as possible. Stumbled on the Coliseum near the Korok and whooped the shite out of that miniboss. No biggie there, and I got a ton of bananas out of it.
Next Coliseum I found was the Floating. No fanfare, no buildup, just walk in and... LOL. What a nasty surprise.
I am reasonably well stocked at this point and I did manage to get through the first four fights without too much trouble, but that last one... yeesh. Half of its attacks are undodgeable and shield parries are so risky. By that point I was down to five hearts max (thanks to gloom and no way to cure it) and one fairy, so I basically couldn't get hit more than once. No good offense/defense buff elixirs on hand either (though speed boosts always help). Fought that bastard for half an hour and died probably a dozen times, but finally triumphed. Neat reward too!

I've finally reached the point in the game where I don't actively avoid the Gloom Hands and/or the Boss Bokoblin gangs. Feels good.
Finally resuming the main storyline quest with Secret of the Ring Ruins and half the the Fifth Sage parts restored.

The difficulty curve from blue enemies to silver is hell. I guess the game is punishing me for spamming frozen debuffs when I encounter mobs. Feels like I'm playing a Souls game where I'm dead if I miss a single dodge or parry.
I did figure out that you can use Recall when a Talus throws it's boulder hands at you. Also works with the stone covered Like-Likes.
eta: I'm going to avoid the Gloom hands for a while. Made the mistake of climbing a ledge and nuking one with bombs... did not like the result.

I like hitting the Boss Bokos with Muddle Buds and letting him take out the underlings while I chill from up above.

Same. Any time there's a group with a higher level enemy than the others, love staying back, launching a muddlebud, and watching the carnage.

Making an offering at the blossoming cherry trees in each zone to get a heads up on cave locations is criminally underrated.

I enjoy doing this with the red boko bosses when there's one or two silver bokoblins behind them because the silvers will absolutely wreck shite on the boss. Workers uprising

Silver Boko horns are probably my lost- fused materials on weapons.

So I decided to go ahead and finish the story today since it's storming outside.
Mildish spoilers.....
The music building up to reaching Gannon's area was freaking awesome. It got more ominous the further down you got and really built the tension. The final fight was fun and challenging enough, which was way better than the botw super easy final boss. This Gannondorf was a badass and I hope we see this version again later down the road. Glad the Master Sword didnt lose power during the final stages, that would've taken away from the entire point of the story.
Still got some side quests and depths to explore so I'm nowhere near done playing, but definitely a 10/10 experience. Only thing missing that I would've like was more stuff around rebuilding Hyrule. Those Hudson staged areas made it seem like you would be doing that in the previews but doesn't happen in the game. Maybe an expansion will touch more on that.

Because no spoilers, there is a community I found that you do actually rebuild. It's pretty fun. Not sure if you found it yet.

There really should be more of that throughout the world. Have some of the Supplies stockpiles turn into mini-stables or small shops scattered throughout.

Took me three tries but yeah that was an awesome final boss fight.
SPOILER --- The first time Ganondorf bullet-time dodged my attack I nearly dropped my controller.

I wonder if they have some of that planned for DLC.

Pro Tip: A bomb flower arrow carries as much in-game physics impact as very yellow bullseye target in a shrine that requires a metal ball hit to activate.

I probably have 100+ hours into this game trying to find all the shrines, bubblefrogs, armor, and side quests. Just finally getting to unlocking the final 2 skytowers in the Gerudo regions. Think I covered every other region on the surface and sky pretty thoroughly. Went through the depths only on Master Kohga side quests and for retrieving armor from locations on all the old maps I found. Is there a way to see how many hours you've played?

Does the Zonaite ore deposits in the Depths respawn after a Blood Moon?
