Wife’s Pregnancy hormones

This is our second kid and when my wife is pregnant she literally turns into somebody I don’t even recognize she says hurtful things to everyone . Completely checks out mentally and wants nothing to do with the rest of the family
I keep reading this is normal but I’m curious on some of y’all’s experiences. Just doesn’t feel like everyone goes through it

My wife's hormones were affected differently. Those second trimester hormones. 
There were times when it was animalistic.

Pregnancy and post-partum can be very challenging and tough to experience. I’ve dealt with it myself. A lot of women are on pregnancy safe antidepressants to help with that.

that is her normal self that is coming out because she DGAF
the rest of the time she is just putting on an act
as mentioned, she will turn to another level of demon when menopause kicks in so you better be prepared for the impending war

My wife started having pregnancy hormones the day after we got married.
