I’m pretty sure that’s a Chuck-wills-widow. I can hear one by the house every evening and every morning leaving for work. I’m out in Abita springs. I thought it was a whippoorwill until I did a bit more research. I’ve also been hearing bob white quails during the day out in the yard. Haven’t heard those in years!
