Jeff Landry wants your kids’ DNA and fingerprints for “safety”

Got a letter sent home with my kids wanting me to fingerprint them and swab for DNA.
“A gift of safety, from our family to yours”
Fuuuuuuck every part of that.
Remember folks, this is what Democrats do. Jeff Landry does not have your kids’ best interest at heart, and he thinks he can scare you into invading your privacy and autonomy over your own children.
I was going to hold my nose and vote for him, but I’ll stay home if he’s the candidate, and I’ve begun to actively campaign against him in my community.
Even if he isn’t evil, he doesn’t have good judgement thinking this was a good idea for both Louisiana and his political career
Edit - it is a real program fricking Kevin Faulk is in on it too?

How did you verify that the sent home letter was tied to him ?

On the flip side, this will make it much easier to catch criminals.

Unless you post it with a letterhead, readers here could conclude that you are making it up.

The part that has the Louisiana seal and says “Jeff Landry - Louisiana Attorney General” on it.

I would have to see it. Unless you go find a pic host site, and post it, along with the sender address, i could not hinge my vote on your word, no offense.

Plus, he was a plaintiff attorney before becoming a career politician. No thanks.

Ok, i see the Link now.
Ok, i guess each person has to see if it is a factor for them. It does not apply to me.

Click the link I edited. My letter has the same logo and it is real. His office is proud of their DNA harvesting scheme

3 questions, 1) will it tell who is really the kids daddy, 2) will they give us his Ancestry, 3) if I swab my dog, will I get his pedigree?

At any point in the letter does it say to return the fingerprints and DNA back to them? Or it simply a vehicle to allow you, the parent, to have a fingerprint and swab on hand to turn over to law enforcement if your kid goes missing?
I checked the site and don’t see any “database” being created because the parent appear to keep the kit.
What does the letter say?

Are we backin' the Blue or not, in this thread?

Wait. You think a government agency will take your kids biometric data and then not keep a copy?
Remember, there have been prosecutions relying on DNA evidence obtained from sexual assault victims.

This is exactly what they are getting if they send a kit to my house

No, he doesn't. It's literally just a "kit" for YOU, as a parent, to fill out and keep at your home. In the event your child goes missing, you can give it to LEO as a pre-made packet for them to have with all your child's biometric data.
This isn't even something new... when I was 7 or 8, my elementary school made ID cards for us with our picture and address on one side and our fingerprints on the other side and sent it home for our parents to have for the same purpose.

It says you store the info at home just in case you need it. That’s what my kids’ toothbrushes and hairbrushes are for. All the DNA law enforcement would ever need can be found there. frick Jeff Landry and his fake arse scheme to get parents to like him. I despise that slimy frick.

My kids are 24, 22 & 19. They had these kits for hair and fingerprints when they were toddlers.
Of course, I never submitted anything.

These kits have been around forever - no database, just helping folks store info at home and have ready in case of an emergency
Not a Landry thing, it’s a law enforcement thing

They distributed fingerprint cards at my school in the mid to late 80’s in Alabama. You take your kids fingerprints and keep them on file. You did not turn anything in to the school.

Unrelated to this topic, but we are quickly headed in this direction with AI and universal deceit. Proof is becoming a thing of the past.
