Check out paddlers outlet.
Great prices on certified pre owned.
I was nervous about it at first but have purchased 3 of the Body Glove Performer models and have been very satisfied.

I bought one of these from Costco and it has been great.

Ours are I rocker SUP inflatables. No complaints. My son sprung for the blackfin, but the midrange seems like enough.

In places with high boat traffic, I prefer a kayak for the low center of gravity...

You really want a displacement board and not a planing board.

It allows for a straighter glide…oh, and no inflatable…talk about lack of glide, it’s like paddling an anchor. You could beat the shite out of something like this, and you will along with everything else you crater with it, and have it forever.

This thing is cool AF…I want one now.

You at least want something with a displacement nose…like a BOTE.

If you absolutely have to go inflatable:

Hydrus

They used to have amazing sales if you are flexible.

Against my recommendation my wife ordered one of the sub $200 ones off amazon and it has been surprisingly great. You need to plan an electric/ 12v inflator as its a SOB to pump by hand.

But yes as said I would try test a BOTE one or another brand if possible. If you just want something to screw around with its not bad. I've taken it off the beach in Destin but you are very limited on range and they are definitely less stable then the regular boards.
