I’m tracking my calories and want to log crawfish stew.
Am I correct in assuming around 300 calories per cup of stew only?
It’s your average Cajun crawfish stew.

Impossible to answer unless you post a recipe. Even then we're only guessing

While I commend your efforts, it’s not that big of a deal. 300-600 who cares? If you’re aren’t eating it daily for an extended period of time, it won’t have much impact on your diet.

I log all my food in about 48-72 hours.

NGL, if you are interested in health and fitness, stews are up there with doughnuts as some of the worst foods on the planet. Flour + seed oils are both horrible for you.

you need to post exact recipe for any of us to reasonably guess.

This! I swear some of these posters act like if they eat a slice of pizza they will balloon up 30 lbs. Unless it is your job to look like Arnold, who cares. Reminds me of the poster who wanted to track his macros Thanksgiving day.

I don’t think you and the post you replied to are saying the same thing. I think the post your replied to is saying estimate it between 300 and 600 because it’s not worth the effort to calculate it 100% precise when you could say it’s probably 500 or so and materially stay within your calories. Even if he overestimated he can cut calories in another more certain meal. I won’t hate on anyone tracking macros even on holidays because it’s easy to slip up one day and next thing you no you’re back to square one. It’s a slippery slope.
OP: I would find a recipe online with nutritional information and pick the one that most closely aligns to how yours was prepared. Or you could get 10 different ones and basically average them to make your best estimate.
