If you are thinking of taking a trip somewhere, I highly recommend using ChatGPT to develop an itinerary. My wife wants to go to New England this year to view the fall foliage so I asked ChatGPT to give me an itinerary.
I was very happy with what I got in response.
My ask:
ChatGPT's response:
I was very happy with what I got in response.
My ask:
quote:
Give me a detailed itinerary, including departure and arrival times, for a 2 week Northeastern Fall Foliage tour for the fall of 2023. Begin and end in Boston. Include a visit to the USS Constitution and other famous Boston landmarks. I do not want to drive more than 5 hours in a single day. If possible include a visit to Niagara falls. Suggest the best date to begin the itinerary to maximize the fall foliage. Include local festivals.

Pretty legit source or starting point if you’re planning a trip to a place you don’t know much about

Exactly! Obviously, you can tweak the question to further tailor the response to your liking.
But it gives a fast starting point for planning a trip to somewhere.

There is a 40,000 page thread full of OTer’s that just need a little nudge. They are all in.

You realize you're going to have to actually figure out what "festivals" are where and when to make this work, right?
Otherwise it's just go see landmarks and trails.
Not very useful.
