Caitlin Clark had been talking smack during the entire tournament. Heck she did it in their last game vs USCe.

Angel Reese is also a competitor. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.

Burrow turned around and waved goodbye to half of UT's stadium just before the game was over. Were you ok with that? Or him flashing the five fingers to Vanderbilt's sidelines? Or the "gimme a ring" motion.

They're allowed to celebrate.

None of that is singling out an individual and taunting them. This is what Richard Sherman did to Crabtree and it was gross.

If Clark was pointedly taunting an individual LSU player then she deserved it, otherwise it was bad sportsmanship.

Then dish out the trash talk during the competition, not when it's over

LoL..that is correct when you win you celebrate, you don't start talking trash.

It's taunting not celebrating. Angel talks about showing young girls her success, and that's what they see. And then we will complain about the next generation but we're celebrating poor sportsmanship.

I get it, Clark talks trash. So did burrow. Etc. Etc. I'd still rather my young kids see them shake hands with opponents.

I’m not okay with Reese getting in her opponent’s face after the win. I’m also not okay with Burrow’s antics. It’s the opposite of classy and good sportsmanship. Talking smack can be fun before a game, but once the competition is over, it is just petty and classless. We teach our kids to be classy after wins. If you can’t say, or do something nice, then don’t do anything at all. That ugly behavior is accepted by much of society, and I think we’re worse for it. I teach my teams to give their all, and we win a lot, but afterwards I want them to congratulate their opponents for their effort or anything else that doesn’t rub the wound more. It didn’t make me proud to see her rubbing it in.
