That's all? Unsupervised? Basically, 'it's cool, just stay out of trouble.'

Virtual hearing for negligent use of a deadly weapon?

Looks like the DA couldn't resist Baldwin's Schweddy balls.

I think you’re more outraged by this than you should be

Well, a woman did die.

I'm sure her family is outraged.

Yet the guy who actually pulled the trigger after violating rule #1 AND #2 of gun safety is going to walk?

What a joke.

FYI, if you are EVER handed a weapon the first thing you do is clear it to see if it is loaded or not, the second is never, ever point a weapon at something you don't want to be destroyed. If you are an actor, never point a weapon at another person until you are 100% certain it is either empty or loaded with blanks.

No Baldwin fan but if he’s liable it’s because he was in charge of the movie, not because he pulled the trigger. Armorer is criminally liable
Could you elaborate on this some?

From someone like myself who knows nothing about gun laws on movie sets, it seems like bullshite.

Laws are not fairly applied based on who you are and you think it's silly to not be outraged about it?

Shouldn't Baldwin, the actual gun user, be the one charged with this?

Why do you have an opinion one way or the other if you "know nothing" about the applicable law?

Even the director of Midnight Rider got two years prison time.

All I said was it seemed like bullshite and asked a question so I could get some more info. Wasn't an opinion.

What do you do when you don't know something? Do you stay stupid on the subject or try and educate yourself on it?

I prefer the latter, so I ask questions and research things I don't understand.

True. I’ve said this from the beginning.

Yes. She made a bunch of mistakes on that set, but in regards to this particular ruling, she should have never let an assistant director even think about touching one of those guns.

Thanks for the response. I see what you're saying now. I wasn't trying to be an a-hole. I mean, I am one, but my question wasn't intended to be that way.

When you say Baldwin should be responsible but not for the discharging, do you mean for hiring the armorer?

Like I said, I'm not knowledgeable to anything regarding guns and movie sets. I'm genuinely curious. IMO, it seems like everyone involved in this is getting off easy.

Not surprised. When that helicopter crashed and killed Vic Morrow and two small children, during the making of that Twilight Zone movie, John Landis the director, and five others involved were all acquitted. Those children shouldn’t have even been allowed to work at 2:00 in the morning.

The NM judicial system is not even making it look good on how they have handled Baldwin so far.

He should have been arrested on the spot at the set and given a blood alcohol content test at minimum, after just a brief questioning of what accrued that day.

He is being under charged and has been given too much time to shuffle his money around.

He should also be charged for the failure to take action when prior gun safety issues accrued prior to the shooting.

He is the owner and responsible party of the movie set and is responsible to insure safety and hiring competent prop handlers.

He hired incompetent personnel at a cheap rate to save money on his low budget film.

He not only killed one person, he also wounded another.

He has already shown himself to be a liar, when he said he did not pull the trigger.

It has been proven that the gun will not fire unless the trigger has been pulled.

I'm not too familiar with that case. Will have to read up on it.

I guess my biggest issue with this case is that at what point do we quit passing the blame and blame the fricker who actually pulled the trigger? Regardless of if it was loaded by someone else.

Any regular person who says "I didn't load the gun so I can't be committed of the crime" would get laughed at, but yet somehow people want to take the blame off of Baldwin simply bc there was an armorer there. Again, I don't know the laws and specifics around situations such as this, but from my point of view, it's just another actor guilty of a crime getting off bc of money.
