By the time any indictment of any kind is adjudicated Trump will be President again with full pardon authority.

You can still pardon people after you leave office too.

The President has no power of pardon over state charges/crimes

We don't know the indictment yet. Isn't this about violating campaign finance law for a federal election? Or can only federal attorneys bring federal charges, therefore this must be state campaign finance law...which would be weird.

it seems the basis for charging this as a felony is an alleged federal crime. If Trump pardons himself for that, then there is no alleged federal crime.

If he's found guilty, he can't be President.

It is a state felony in a state court. The President has no power over state felonies prosecuted in a state court.

Naw dog
The (federal) felony will be Cohen (who has already admitted to the felony and entered a guilty plea).
Trump didn't pardon Cohen while he had the chance (but I don't know if it would matter for these purposes, anyway).
