Tight Strike Zone last night

I thought the Ump behind the dish did a pretty decent job. The strike zone was tight but he called consistent for the most part. There were a few questionable calls on both sides later in the game but with Skenes' accuracy it didn't seem to phase him. Not sure who is behind the dish tonight but i hope Floyd can pound the zone and build more momentum and confidence for himself. Let's Geaux!!!

It’s been tight all year.

As long as the ump is consistent that’s fine

Watch any SEC game. It's obviously something the conference told the umps to crack down on.

It seems like he was tight on the corners for sure, but called a few in the upper part of the zone. The curveball that got Morgan definitely looked high.

started out tight (a little too tight, especially on outside corner imo) but then he became inconsistent (after the UT pitching coach started chirping) and called several obvious balls as strikes. overall i thought he did not do a very good job

The people in the know have said SEC umpires are graded using Trackman. The Glavine strikezone that the mlb killed two and a half decades ago with QUESTEC is being put to death in the SEC now. Don't expect any of the liberal zones we saw for years anymore.

He was to tight on the edges, but I thought he was consistent with that on both sides. I didn't think his strike zone was consistent at the knees though.

Y'all think these new zones are tight, but the reality is they are now much closer to the truth. In the past college umps were way too liberal.
