Looks like it to me but I’m not expert.

I will have a bunch of dead spots in my yard now that I sprayed roundup all over!

From my experience, I wouldn’t waste time with roundup on a centipede lawn. It will take over a year for the centipede to fill those areas in (if at all), new weeds will intrude the bare spots, it will look like sh** with lite brown holes in the yard where you sprayed, etc.

My suggestions (I’m no expert):
-cut those areas out and replace with centipede sod
-and/or spend some time pulling weeds
-keep the lawn cut short all growing season, don’t let the weeds go to seed, promotes the centipede to spread horizontally and blends the weeds into lawn (the weeds aren’t as noticeable from a distance). Similar to St. Aug, I find some of the grassy weeds don’t like a real short cut lawn. Centipede can tolerate it.

Looks like you've got a little lawn grass in your dallisgrass backyard.

I bought a Fiskars 4 claw weed puller for $48. It works very well for weeds that clump together. It almost makes pulling weeds fun.

Serious question. Since dallis gras seems to be inevitable, in my yard at least. Why not embrace it. It grows like crazy, nice and thick, can't kill it!! I'm about ready to surrender and just cot it close.
What say the H&G forum?

Upvote… only because I feel your pain. I finally got rid of my dallis after fighting it for 2 years and now I have Virginia buttonweed in 4 patches that is spreading like crazy. I feel like i should just give up and let it all take over.

bahia makes a really hardy lawn/field grass it’s just rough on the mower. I have about 2.5 acres of it in a small field and it’s 100% maintenance free. Plus if you let it go long and then mow you can rake it up and use for straw/bedding/mulch/etc

I had Bahia when I lived in B.R. And yes, it was maintenance free but where I'm at now I'm fighting Dallisgrass and Virginia buttonweed.
