Sororities including men - who should have the ultimate say?

[Langford’s membership was made possible by language within a recent guidance issued by sorority leaders on inclusivity. The national KKG Guide For Supporting Our LGBTQIA+ Members (2021) states that “Kappa Kappa Gamma is a single-gender organization comprised of women and individuals who identify as women whose governing documents do not discriminate in membership selection except by requiring good scholarship and ethical character.”]
[The source further stated that women who opposed Langford’s admission into the sorority were told they could “drop out” following objections made by ten women, who, as new pledges, were among a group of women who had spent the night together with Langford as part of the sorority’s initiation process.]

Most women are not in favor of this stuff. All they have to do is walk away. When these places end up with no one still around, changes will be made.

Nationals can open the door to it but should NOT be strong-arming chapters into accepting members.
If they want to do that, they can join the NPHC, where it is apparently normal for nationals and alums to hand pick members with little to no say by the actives.

Sucks that this one weirdo ruins it all for everyone else involved up
There . That’s the problem for me.
The girls better not ostracize him or else they will be sent to standards or expelled probably
He better be invited to girls nights and watching the bachelor and all that.
It’s all just so damn stupid .

As a straight heterosexual male whoe pronouns are he, him and his, I am all for joining KKG....would enthusiastically move in as a pledge.

No one should ever tell anyone who to admit into their private club. Period.
Country Club
Sorority/Fraternity
Religious club
Social Club
The entire point is to congregate with who you choose.

The normal girls aren’t allowed to feel secure in their home bc this guy is watching them while sporting a “visible erection” per the report. Complete clown world

If I were still in college I would absolutely be joining a sorority and banging all the lezzie ladies

It's a private organization, so the sorority. They strike girls for being ugly or coming from the wrong school or socio-economic background. Shouldn't be hard to deny someone with a penis.
Sounds like the freak is a peeping tom, though, so they should probably just have him criminally prosecuted and expelled through that avenue. It appears the chapter let the dude in, so I'm not sure what legal basis the girls in the chapter have here to sue.
Honestly, if I'm one of the girls who is uncomfortable, I'd probably just leave the sorority. Why maintain membership with a social organization that doesn't share the same values as you?

Once you are initiated into an organization like this, you can’t join another. And many organizations won’t even consider allowing membership to someone who pledged elsewhere before but didn’t get initiated.
On top of that, some campuses are heavily Greek to the point where walking away from your house means you’re an outcast. Ole Miss is Greek to an insane degree and will have suicide watches on dorms after bids are announced for Formal Rush because there’s a history of suicide attempts by girls who don’t get into the same sorority as their friends.
TLDR - Once you are in an organization like this, you have to be willing to walk away from everything if you want out. And depending on how that goes, it can affect you in college and potentially in making connections to get jobs afterward.

I'm sure they have some top lawyers getting ahead of it but some of these sororities and fraternities might run into some issues having houses on university property or at least leasing them at some stupid low rate. You start getting into a sticky situation when a private club is in some way being subsidized by a public university with a below market rent. That clown Dorthey Mae Taylor tried to pull that crap with Mardi Gras organizations back in the 90s but the courts stuck a pin in her balloon. I don't know if it is the case any longer but I remember some Alabama fraternities paying under $1000 for their yearly lease but that was 20+ years ago. I think they resolved a lot of that a while back when they made the push to really integrate rush.

You are the .0001% who have gotten the joke. I like the meowshowitz joke slightly better but I think Pele made a better fantasy football team name.

There are a lot of good ones but not necessarily ones that are as funny without context.
Still trying to catch up on older seasons. I’m up to 1999, but only after skipping the seasons between Vice and Dreamland.

So he's a guy and straight. Hanging out in fertile territory. If only I could have stayed in the Kappa house at LSU

While generally true, exceptions can and have been made. I was Greek in college. I know how the game works. This sorority, however, appears to have a pretty substantial division here on this issue which won’t be fixed even if they prevail in their lawsuit. So they’re going to sue their sorority and leave all issues behind them thereafter? Not likely

Gonna go out on a limb and guess Wyoming doesn’t have a Greek culture like that
