Mulkey's Press Conference

Once again tonight I was reminded what a brilliant person she is. Anyone who coaches, teaches a band, or has anything to do with a group activity that requires teamwork and hard individual effort to accomplish a common goal can learn a lot about teaching and leadership from listening to her talk. And this is in addition to her insightful comments about the intricacies of the sport. She is articulate, respectful of her opponents and their efforts, and exudes confidence and professionalism along with a healthy dose of kick-arse attitude. I already knew she was a great coach, but listening to her pressers over the past two years has only increased my respect for her. And Brian Kelly demonstrates some of the same qualities. We're in a really good new era for LSU sports. It's gonna be fun.

She has a lot of positives, as described here. Just don't wanna be the target when she's pissed at something.

She's the epitome of a Boss Bitch.

The only thing that would make this post even better is a link

I enjoy her interactions with opposing players. Im not sure how the opposing player take her because they dont know her but she will grab them, pull them in close and complement them and encourage the hell out of them when they are hurting. Its a great thing to witness. She builds relationships everywhere she goes.

If you are ever in the portal look me up some time. (Wink)

Coach Mulkey is a great fit at LSU and a fine ambassador of the state. She connects with people.

Thanks for the kind words. I wrote the post on my phone and I haven't yet mastered the art of adding a link with my phone. I should have noted, however, that the video of the complete presser is on the TD homepage. (That's where I watched it.)

Kramer’s mom has got it going on

When I was in high school she spoke at the opening ceremony of a national tournament I was playing in and her message was this: Be on time. Be respectful of your teammates and coaches effort and be on time. Simple statement but something I've never actually forgotten.

During the baseball game yesterday, one of the announcers said that Kramer was known for his many fancy cleats. But in talking to CKM, she was surprised to hear that he had been using her NIKE shoe contract money to pay for them. Imagine that conversation went well for KR.

But she is OUR Boss Bitch, and I love that fire.

The girl from Michigan who was crying in the handshake line when Mulkey consoled her:
"Even after a loss like that, something like that coming from a coach of her stature, that means a lot," Brown said. "I plan to hold it close to my heart for a long time"
Again proving that if you can avoid the echo chamber of Mulkey haters on Twitter, you can see that the vast majority of people who follow the game respect her.
