Pels have a much tougher schedule than LAL and Dallas

If we can somehow hold them off to keep the 10th spot it will be well earned. They have definitely found something going through Jonas so they are at least showing some life. Really I think we are playing against Minnesota more than anyone. They gave a tough schedule ahead also but are getting KAT and Anthony Edwards back soon. We will have to make it in without Zion.

the pelicans have the 3rd toughest remaining schedule in the NBA. our easy stretch is over
Lakers, Mavs, Thunder are all in the top 6 easiest remaining schedule. pelicans need to play well and a lot of luck

Sure would be nice if ou best player could at least give us a few minutes here and there.

What does it tell you about how the front office views our chances?
Staring our toughest test to date in the face, and "we'll evaluate again in two weeks"
He won't play unless we get out of the play-in

Why is this so hard for yall to understand? A hamstring strain isn't an injury you can just tough it out and play through. Both Zion and the front office pushing it too soon is probably what caused the reaggravation.
This isn't a case like CJ, where he can throw on a brace tough it out and hope for the best.

JV should feast on all these teams!! But damn, we need to fix our perimeter D if we want to win these upcoming games

Then just shut him down..
If you're not going to let him try at 80-90% if it means saving the season, then pull the plug
We're going to do this ramp up bullshite to get him totally 100% completely ready, to finish 12th in the West

Why does it have to be one extreme or the other?

We shouldn’t have squandered our opportunities when we were playing G-league teams on a nightly basis.

Kylian Mbappe admitted that he was "not supposed to play" in Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League round of 16 first leg against Bayern Munich on Tuesday. Mbappe came off the bench but was unable to prevent a 1-0 loss at the Parc des Princes.
The France forward suffered a hamstring injury Feb. 1 that the club initially said would rule him out for three weeks. Yet he came on as a substitute in the 57th minute and ignited the game, having two goals disallowed for offside as his entrance changed the storyline of the match.

I get it.. more than likely he gives it a go and pulls up lame in the first game
But if we hit this rough schedule and fall completely out of the play-in without even letting him test it ... I mean wtf are we doing here

What is it hurting for Zion to be doing rehab right now? He would be doing that anyway. If he feels good enough to play before the end of the regular season, great. With this injury that he's already aggravated once by coming back too quickly, you have to be as sure as possible before putting him back out there.

Great .. so when we finish 0.5 game out of the play-in we can take solace in the fact that Zion is as healthy as possible

We just wrapped up to our 7th straight game we were favored(shout out Bronc and chrxis) and we were a disappointing 4-3.
If we won 6 of 7, we'd be a half game out of the 4 seed and 1.5 games up on the 8 seed.

How so?
Hes cleared to do on court activities and we'll re-evaluate in two weeks when the regular season is over

I am actually ok with this. If this team cant make the playoffs without him (or play-in) then theres no reason to risk throwing him out there just to lose in the first round or play in. If they can get there without him might be worth putting him in to see how far we can go in the playoffs.

The problem with JV is you HAVE to use him as the primary on the offensive end if you have him on the court because whoever he is guarding is going to torch him on the other end. It has been working against bad teams which we had been having trouble handling. I think the bigger impact is getting BI and CJ off ball and making it harder to double them. Also, just more player playing in the paint, even CJ was taking it to the rim more often last night.
